MISSION OF THE RANCHO BERNARDO VETERANS MEMORIAL ASSOCIATION
The Rancho Bernardo Veterans Memorial Association was formed for the specific and primary purpose of maintaining, and possibly expanding, the memorial built in the Webb Park area of Rancho Bernardo, California, known as the Rancho Bernardo Veterans Memorial, to honor veterans of the military services of the United States; and to conduct public patriotic and educational ceremonies at the memorial site on Memorial Day, Independence Day, Veterans Day and on other appropriate occasions. This association is a nonprofit War Veterans organization organized and operated exclusively for patriotic purposes. Funding to support RBVMA activities, primarily for maintenance of the Memorial at Webb Park in Rancho Bernardo, comes from members of the supporting organizations and contributions from the public. Please contact our President or Treasurer to make arrangements for contributions.
Through the combined efforts of the General J. P. Holland Chapter of the MOWW and the Major Abraham J. Baum Post 7766 of the VFW, with additional financial help from members of the community, the Veterans Memorial was designed and installed at a central location in Rancho Bernardo - Webb Park - and dedicated on 4 July 1994. Members of both organizations are directors of the Rancho Bernardo Veterans Memorial Association, a 501c(19) War Veteran Organization which, through tax deductible contributions, is able maintain the Memorial and purchase flags and audio equipment needed to put on three major ceremonies each year: Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Veterans Day.
